Although many shelter magazines have been going under in the last few years (RIP Domino) the bright side is that many new and inspiring (and free!) online magazines have popped up to replace them. One of my favorite is Lonny Magazine. Each issue of Lonnny thus far has contained a great mixture of modern and traditional design as well as examples of great design that can be achieved on almost any budget. Here are a few of my favorite spaces from the latest issue!
Beautiful modern loft! The traditional touches added with the chandelier and mirror and a sense of depth and sophistication to the space. I love the white slip-covered sofas as well.
Gorgeous mid century modern desk and hide rug.
The more neutral color palette in this space works without being too boring because beautifully designed built-ins and colorful throw pillows add interest to the room.
I love a built-in banquette in a breakfast nook because it creates a sense of intimacy. The black lacquered trim is also amazing!
You know I’m a sucker for stripes, I especially love them combined with the traditional green settee.
A photo from the office of the talented and innovative Kelly Wearstler. Fabulous brass bar stools and textured upholstery.
